Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University
Certifications: PTI Level 1 Trainer and American Red Cross CPR/AED
Short Background/Bio: I was born and raised in Ft. Wayne. I graduated from Bishop Dwenger and played volleyball and basketball. I attended Ball State University and studied exercise science with a concentration in health and fitness. I also played club volleyball there all 4 years.
Personal Fitness/Nutrition Goals: My personal fitness goal is mainly to stay active and be able to play sports for as long as I can. I have thought about getting into Crossfit and see what it’s about. As far as nutrition, I am always willing to try anything.
Favorite Exercise and Least Favorite: My favorite exercise would be abduction and adduction. Least favorite is chin ups. I tend to get a major mental block trying to do them.
Hobbies/ Outside of Work: I love to play volleyball and watch Jurassic Park at least once a week.
Quote: “Take a deep breath. It’s just a bad day, not a bad life.”
Future Plans: I’m still unsure about my future plans but I would eventually like to go back to school for massage therapy. I would also like to work with kids so coaching may be in the plan.
Best Part of My Job: I love meeting new people and being able to interact with clients. One of my favorite parts about PTI is how welcoming everyone is. It’s like a family here.
